摘要
介绍了LDPC码(Low Density Parity CheckCoding)在深空探测设备中的应用前景和重要性。简要比较了LDPC和Turbo码和其他主要编码形式在深空应用中所起到的重要作用以及它们之间的差异,介绍了美国NASA目前各类探测任务中所用到的主要编码形式。给出了一种可以应用于深空探测的LDPC编码方法和译码方法,并介绍对其的编码实现电路和解码实现电路的优化途径。
The paper presents the importance and prospects of Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) codes for application in deep space equipment. The coding methods used in NASA' s all kinds of exploring missions are introduced. The comparison of Turbo and LDPC as well as other coding methods is also given with respect to their roles played in deep space application. Finally, LDPC encoding and decoding methods suitable for deep space exploration are given, and the optimization approaches for the encoding and decoding implementation circuits are provided.
