摘要 针对网络虚拟环境的地形可视化方法进行了研究。提出利用构建网络环境中三维多分辨率地形LOD可视化方法。采用四叉树管理地形数据,随着视点变换,通过地形块网格细分可以实时生成连续的多分辨率地形网格,有效地消除了地形块之间的网格裂缝。基于Java3D场景图管理和更新地形数据和渲染。在场景绘制过程中,依据视距对不同地形块用不同分辨率的地形网格表示,在不影响真实感的同时,可以有效降低DEM节点数据量,达到实时渲染的目的。最后,通过DEM数字地形高程模型证明了算法的有效性。 With the development of VR, three -dimensional terrain rendering has become the research focus in WEB 3D. In this paper, an algorithm is proposed which can construct a virtual terrain in web. In the method, DEM data is loaded and converted to Java3D Scene Graph Object. Java3D Scene Graph Structure is used to control the terrain data, also the characteristics of Java3D objects are used to create a multi -resolution terrain. Optimization techniques such as LOD are applied in scene creating and rendering process to meet the requirement of real - time interaction. At last, the method is tested by rendering real DEM data. It can render the terrain at interaction frame rate , which prove that it is valid in terrain visualization especially in web VR application.
