This article introduces a portable instrument with low-cost and digital map which can be utilized in a designated area. Based on general SCM and low-power technology, its liquid crystal touchscreen provides Menu-style operation, and the system could be up- dated wirelessly. Therefore, this redeemes the defects that it was necessary to invest a great deal to purchase high-performance navigation equipments or use GPS, which makes the design have a broad market prospect.
