To determine total sulfur content in the petroleum product, the ultraviolet fluorescence spectrometric analysis method was introduced in the paper. The analysis principle, experimental condition, influence factor, disturbance element were discussed. The optimal conditions, quantifying method, coefficient of gas calibration and the parameters of the instrument were confirmed. Several factors effective on the detected results were also studied.
