语块与英语听力理解

A Study of Chunks and English Listening Comprehension

语块是英语语言中以连续词语的形式相对固定的语义单位,它广泛地存在于各种语体中。从认知心理学的角度看,英语听力理解的习得,是听者基于语块的信息认知加工过程,语块有助于听者增加记忆容量,缓解听者心理压力,提高信息处理效率,促进听力理解。

Chunks are units of meaning in the continuous or discontinuous but relatively fixed forms and they exist widely in various genres of English language. From the perspective of cognitive psychology, acquisition of English listening comprehension is a cognitive information processing of the listener based on chunks. The chunks enlarge the memory capacity of the listener, alleviate the listener＇ s pressure, enhance the information processing efficiency, and finally promote hearing understanding.
