湖南省第一次普选运动中的妇女发动

The mobilization of woman in Hunan Province first general election movement

由于新中国政权性质的决定、妇女在全国人口中占半数,特别是为了确保妇女参政权的实现,在1953～1954年第一次普选中,必须发动妇女积极参加选举。湖南省委、省政府为发动妇女参加选举,成立包括妇女在内的选举委员会,加强对选举工作的领导;加大宣传力度,多方位动员妇女参加选举。在普选中,全省90%以上的女公民参加了基层选举,许多优秀女性当选为各级人大代表。

Because of the Chinese political features and of the fact that the woman accounts for half of the number in the population.Especially of the purpose to guarantee the realization of the women＇s political rights,in the first general election movement from 1953 to 1954,we mobilized the woman to participate in the election positively.Hunan Provincial committee of the CPC and the Hunan provincial government mobilized the woman to participate in the election,established the election committee including woman,strengthened leadership to the election work,increased the propaganda dynamics and the multi-positions to mobilize the woman to participate in the election.In the general election,the female citizen above 90% in entire province participated in the basic-level election,many outstanding females were elected as Deputies to the National People＇s Congress at all levels.
