On the Construction of Narrative Time in Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio from the Perspective of the Time Concept of Buddhist Scriptures

永恒和不可逆反是时间的特性。基于人们时间认识上的感悟,叙事时间一直是文学作品中不可或缺的重要内容。本文依据中国古代的朴素自然时间观和汉译佛经的幻化时间观,探讨《聊斋志异》中幻化时间构建的写作特色。

Time is characterized by eternity and irreversibility. In view of the realization of time knowledge, people always think of narrative time as an indispensably significant part of literary works. On the basis of both the Chinese simple and natural time concept in ancient times and shadowy time in Chinese-translated Buddhist scriptures, this paper, taking the novel Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio as its research text, discusses the writing style with the construction of its shadowy time.
