摘要
文森蒂在《工程师知道什么以及他们是如何知道的——基于航空历史的分析研究》一书中,运用经验与历史分析的方法,为我们展示了工程知识的来源与特征,并提出了"工程知识增长的变异-选择模型",构建了关于人类工程活动的令人信服的认知图景。本文试图揭示文森蒂工作的哲学意涵,并进行了简要的评述。
In his book of What Engineers Know and How They Know It： Analytical Studies from Aeronauti- cal History, Walter. G Vincenti demonstrates the origin and character of engineering knowledge and put forward the variation-selective model of that knowledge by using empirical and historical analytic method. In so doing he offers us a believably human image of the engineering. This paper tries to reveal the philosophical implication of Vincenti＇s work and offers a brief review.
