基于认知语言学对构建一种新型词典的设想

An Idea about Compiling a New-Type Dictionary Based on Cognitive Linguistics

现行的大多数英语词典是为假想读者已知的单词提供释义的,当学习者遇到"心中有意,口中无词"时,就不能满足需求了;并且现行的大多数词典是按照字母顺序排序的,与人的心理词典相违背,割断了词与词之间的联系,不易记忆。因此,根据认知语言学的原型范畴理论和认知心理学的心理词典构想,编纂一部以概念为"词目"的词典,对满足中、高级英语学习者产出性活动的需要和广大的英语学习者记忆单词的需要,是很有必要的。

When English learners＇ lexical knowledge is ineffective to express their idea, most current dictionaries cannot meet their needs because it only provides the meanings of words which are supposed to be known by readers. Moreover, words in most current dictionaries are listed in an alphabetical order, which is against learners＇ mental lexical order. Therefore, a word is difficult to be remembered. An English dictionary guided by the perspectives of prototypical category theory in cognitive linguistics and cognitive physiology is advocated to be compiled to meet the need of learners.
