The Yuxi Bridge, at Chenxi Road within the border of Zhejiang,is founded by punched cast-in-situ pile which is 1500mm in diameter and 5.0m down into the bed below. The article introduces the construction process and technique of punched cast-in-situ pile at sandy cobble bed with an focus on the punching technique. And it also analyzes the causes of a sloughing hole, slant hole, crooked hole and a broken pile and hereby proposes countermeasures.
