Mongolian -Tibetan Affairs Commission and Mongolian-Tibetan Buddhism

蒙藏委员会是南京国民政府主管蒙藏事务的中央机构,自成立以后,它通过各直属机关的设立和相关条例的颁布,对蒙藏佛教加以扶持和管理,体现了国民政府对蒙藏地区的高度重视。蒙藏委员会的设立不仅维护了中国对边疆的主权,密切了边疆民族与中央政府的联系,而且对于蒙藏佛教的发展也有推进作用。

The Mongolian and Tibetan Affairs Commission was the central organization in charge of Mongolian and Tibetan Affairs of the Nanking Government in the Republican China. As soon as it set up, it supported and managed Lamaism through the departments directly under it and related regulations. That reflected the attention of the Nanking Government to the Mongolian and Tibetan Affairs. The establishment of Mongolian and Tibetan Affairs Commission not only safeguarded the sovereign rights of China over the border areas and built closer relations between the nationalities in border areas and the central government, but also pushed on the development of Lamaism.
