Construction of Harmonious Society in Tibet from the Perspective of the Risk-Society Theory

西藏是我国重要的边疆民族地区,由于特殊的地理环境和历史原因,长期以来面临着尖锐复杂的反分裂斗争,大力构建和谐西藏,既是全面建设小康社会、实现经济社会跨越式发展的重要内容,也是确保国家安全和西藏长治久安的重要保证。转型时期西藏存在的社会风险包括经济、政治、文化领域及经济、社会发展不协调问题。化解社会风险,构建和谐西藏,必须要有新思路和新举措。

Tibet is an important frontier ethnic region, due to its special geographic environment and historical reasons, Tibet has long faced acute and complicated struggle against separatism. To build a harmonious Tibet is the content of building a moderately prosperous society and achieving a leap in the economic and social development, which ensure national security and an long-term stability in Tibet. In the time of social transformation in Tibet, many risks exist in economic, political, cultural spheres including the lack of coordination in economic and social development. To reduce such risks and build a harmonious Tibet, new ideas and initiatives are needed.
