摘要
在英语教学生态系统中,教师、学习者、教学媒体和教学内容这四个因子以及他们的相互关系只有处于动态平衡时才会得到良性发展。目前高等教育中对学生英语学习的ICT素养关注不够。本文基于对学生的ICT素养和影响因素调查,讨论它对英语学习和教学的影响。对该情况的了解有利于高校有效地配置资源,使教师进行合理的课程计划,促进英语课堂和课下自学形成平衡的生态系统,同时也为英语教学改革、教材编写、课程设置等提供可供参考的依据。
Ecology of English Education comprises teachers, learners, teaching content and teaching media. With ICT widely used in English Education, much has been investigated in ICT integration into the teaching content and teachers ICT skills, there is insufficient empirical research evidence about students'ownership and competencies in ICT, which makes it difficult for teachers to know what students can actually do with new technologies. This study investigated (1) College students'ICT ownership and literacy; (2) Their concepts about ICT and English learning; and (3) The influencing factors on using ICT in English acquisition. The findings provide a glimpse of college students ICT ownership and usage. About 60% believe their ICT skills are as good as or better than their peers. They believe ICT helps them most in listening and speaking. The biggest barrier is their lack of facilities and internet resources. This study is significant in that it raises the attention to the student use of ICT in the ecology of English education. This knowledge is critical in English course and curriculum design. It also provides evidence for the future reform.
