摘要
本文分析Internet网络交通模式,WWWcache对端用户、ISP和干线供应商的利益驱动,分析了构造大规模cache的技术需求,并提出相应的解决方案:机群计算,缓冲优化的数据库,多线程数据流。
The Wide Web he World Wide Web continues to expand at a dizzying pace, with traffic on the backbone doubling every quarter. By using network caching to reduce traffic on the Internet backbone , ISPs can provide users with substantially faster and more reliable service over existing lines.Backbone providers can benefit from smaller and manageable networks, and savings in capital investment. Since bigger caches mean higher hit rates, we propose large scale caching on WWW, and ananlyse its new requirements for supporting techniques. An efficient and practical solution is followed, i.e., clustered computing, caching-optimized database, and multi-threaded data flow .
