The paper proposes the countermeasures to solve the problems of lower average park per capita and less park resources per capita in the downtown district of Guiyang city based on analyzing the development dynamics of park quantity and area during different periods, and summarizing the park distribution pattern and characteristics by analyzing the indexes of park quantity per square kilometers, park quantity per ten thousand capita, park area per city area ratio and average park area per capita.
