The Influence of Cultural Difference Upon Domestication And Foreignization in Translation Study

归化和异化是翻译中常常采用的策略,对于何时何地采用归化以及异化,翻译界颇有争议。本文将从文化差异的角度进行论述,结合实例,从而说明为了最大限度的还原原作的内容,保留其形式,突出风格,译者需要根据具体情况选择归化和异化的使用,没有必要将两者分割对立,而应当将二者有机的结合起来,达到传播异国文化的目的。

Foreiguization and Domestication are regarded as two techniques often used in the course of translating. But people have been keeping arguing when and where these two should be adaped. This paper gives a further discussion on how to keep a balance between foreignization and domestication in terms of cultural difference , trying to convey the idea that in order to help bring out the original meaning, flavour and style of the work of source language, there is no reason that the two should be seperated . Instead, they should be combined to use when possible.
