摘要
本研究通过填空问卷的形式考察了英语专业三年级学生使用被动语态的情况,发现在被动语态的使用上,英语水平较低的学生与英语水平较高的学生使用被动语态的频率存在差异,英语水平较低的学生存在被动语态使用不足的现象。并且,被动语态的使用不足与被动语态的使用场合有关系,在因为语篇、文体等原因而需要使用被动语态的时候,其使用存在明显不足。
This paper reports a study on the production of English passive voice by junior Enlish majors. Based on a gap-filling test, it is discovered that significant differences exist between high English-proficiency level students and low English-proficiency level students concerning the frequency of English passive voice usage. The less competent students tend to under-produce English passive voice. The underproduction results from various reasons, among which, unawareness of discourse requirement and stylistic requirement on English passive voice usage are the most primary.
