On the Culture and Literature of the Zhang Family in Zhenjiang Area in the Qing Dynasty

The Zhangs family, represented by Zhang Yushu, was the distinguished family in Zhengjiang area in the Qing Dynasty. The family brought out many successful candidates in the imperial examinations and many outstanding personalities. Attaching great importance to education, the Zhangs family had its family tradition in imperial examinations, thoughts of the world and the historical studies. With the large number of men of letters who loved the poetry of the Tang, the family was featured for its tradition in literature.
