The vaginal microecology depends upon vaginal flora, endocrine regulation and anatomic structure of vagina itself. Kinds of microorganism exist in the normal vagina and they keep dynamic balances. Once the balance is broken, disease can occur. There are many influencing factors of vaginal microecology, including physiological factors ( such as age, menstruation and pregnancy), pathological factors (such as diabetes mellitus, cervical lesions ), drugs (such as hormone, antibiotics, vitamin C and immunodepressants ), surgical operation, life style, climatic factor and genetic factors. Determination of these influencing factors is helpful to recognize and prevent the diseases.
