the paper intends to analyze the context of a German Catholicism theologist , J. B. Metz＇s neopolitical theology. Furthermore, on the basis of the two important conceptions in his thought, practise and momeory of me tribulation （ memoria passionis ） , the author tries to indicate the consumingly consciousness of social concern in Metz＇s theology.
