Structural adhesives are becoming increasingly important as a mean for joining metals in automotive body construction. The main features and process requirements of a structure adhesive developed by Henkel is introduced in the paper. Experiments show that structural adhesives are a valuable tool to improve performance of body structures, to reduce weight and simplify production process as well as optimize manufacturing cost.
