活血生津中药对头颈部肿瘤患者放疗中唾液腺的影响

Effects of Traditional Chinese Medicine on Salivary Glands in the Patients with Head and Neck Cancer during Radiotherapy

目的 :探讨活血生津中药制剂对头颈部肿瘤患者放疗中唾液腺功能的保护作用。方法 :将 5 0例首程放疗的头颈部肿瘤患者随机分为观察组 (中药加放疗 ,2 4例 ) ,对照组(单纯放疗 ,2 6例 )。对放疗前及放疗不同剂量时的口干程度、唾液流速及淀粉酶分泌速度进行比较。结果 :随放疗剂量的增加 ,两组口干程度增加 ,唾液流速与淀粉酶分泌速度下降。放疗中观察组口干程度曲线较对照组明显平坦。放疗至 2 0、40、60Gy时观察组唾液流速及淀粉酶分泌速度均较对照组为高。结论 :头颈部肿瘤患者放疗过程中辅以活血生津中药制剂可改善口干症状 ,明显的保护其唾液腺的分泌功能。

Objective: To observe the effect of Chinese herbal medicine on the salivary glands of patients with head and neck cancer during radiotherapy (RT). Methods: Fifty cases with head and neck cancer were randomly divided into observation group treated with RT plus Chinese herbal medicine and control group treated with RT alone. The level of mouth dryness, the flow and secretion speed of salivary amylase were measured before and during the RT. Results: The severity of mouth dryness increased and the flow and secretion speed of salivary amylase declined during RT. The mouth dryness curve of patients in Chinese medicine group was significantly more flattened than that of the control group after RT. The flow and the secretion speed of salivary amylase of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group at 20 Gy, 40 Gy and 60 Gy. Conclusion: Chinese herbal medicine used in this study was effective to relieve the severity of mouth dryness and to protect the salivary glands of patients with head and neck cancer during RT.
