第三戏剧既不是制度化的戏剧,也不归属先锋戏剧,更不屈从商业化的趋势,其目的在于寻求戏剧新的理想,即通过“表演交易”追求戏剧作为文化仪式的自主意义,从表演美学角度探索“前表现性”和“在场”等戏剧人类学的本质特征。
The concept of Third Theatre, a theatrical ideal proposed by Eugenio Barba, cannot be conveniently generalized as an institutionalized or avant-garde dramatic pursuit, or as an attempt at commercialization. It aims to explore the novel fields of theatrical ideals, like the significance of drama as a kind of cultural “rituals” through “barter”, the anthropological nature of scenic behavior in performance aesthetics, and the concepts of “pre-expressivity” and the “presence”.
