Development Strategy of Fine wool Sheep in China

中国细毛羊的发展经历了新疆细毛羊育成、全国性绵改及地域性细毛羊品种培育和中国美利奴羊育成３个阶段，至１９９６年细羊毛及其改良羊毛达１０万ｔ，占绵羊毛总量的５０％。目前制约中国细毛羊业的因素有资源、技术、经济、政策等。中国细毛养羊业的发展对策是：建立全国澳美型的大品种体系；建立符合中国特点的羊毛质量技术管理体制和羊毛市场流通机制；增加科技投入，加强科技成果转化；建立青藏高原细毛羊生产基地；加强草原管理和建设；开展市场调节性的细毛羊多向利用。

Development of fine wool sheep in China has passed through three phases ie, Xinjiang fine wool sheep breeding, national sheep improvement and rearing breed of regional fine wool sheep, and Chinese Merino sheep breeding. In 1996, the production of fine wool and its improved wool reached 100 000 ton, 50% of total wool production. At present, the factors that curb fine wool sheep developing are resources, technology, economy and policy. In future, the development strategy of fine wool sheep husbandry in our country is to found big Merino breed system of fine wool sheep, to estblish the wool guality administration system and the wool market circulation institution that must be suited to our national characteristics, to enhance transformation of science and technology fruit, to build fine wool sheep production base in Qinghai Tibet plateau, to strengthen prairie management and construction, and to develop series utilization of fine wool sheep.
