Taking Advantage of Wood-boring Insects' Feeding Preferences

绿化植物中的钻蛀类害虫具有种类多、分布广、危害重、防治难的特点。通过调查,初步了解扬州绿化植物钻蛀类害虫的嗜食性特点,据此特点,制定出科学防控钻蛀类害虫的有效办法,即利用植物间的合理布局,巧妙搭配而达到趋利避害的防控目的。

For afforesting and landscaping trees,wood-boring insects are one of the most dangerous threats.These insects include many different types,spread over large areas,cause serious problems and are difficult to prevent and control.Their feeding preferences,which are already known after investigation,suggest a particular way to control those insects’ damage without much effort.Here we propose an effective method to protect trees in our local city.
