With the development of towed line array sonar and flank array sonar ,self-noise canceller has recently become a very active topic in the field of sonar signal processing.But the theory and its application of adaptive line canceller (ALC)are commonly neglected topics. The method of theoretical analysis is discussed firstly,then the performance analysis results are given. In the end,the conception and its implementation of ALC with extra narrow band are proposed.The computer simulation shows good agreement with theoretical analysis.It is helpful to design ALC with high qualities.
