作为文化产业的一个分支，儿童文化产业是以儿童文化创意为核心内容，以儿童为受众，以产业化的方式制造、营销不同形态文化产品的行业。儿童文化产业要以儿童研究为基础，打造产业链，追求产业集群化发展，同时要处理好文化安全和道德问题，在产业和文化、商业运作和社会责任之间寻求平衡。
