To cou-nter the problems in the design of SQ70,SQ81wire-line core tools used in coal exploration,the paper introduced the new-developed SQ89tool,its structural features and its improevme-nt in rod,spring and lifting cone.In addition,some problems were discussed which should bepoied attention to in the operation of SQ89.
