北魏前期,出于政治的需要,拓跋氏对汉文化采取了吸纳的态度,但内心深处是疑忌和排斥的。受这种文化心态影响,北魏前期,从事文学创作的基本为汉族士人,作品以实用性文体为主,纯文学性文体的不多,作品的风格呈现出一种朴质之气。
