《高级英语》中的隐性语音表现

诗歌是语音技巧运用最充分的文体,然而非诗歌文体的语音表现同样值得关注,特别是当读者群定位高级时。由外语教学与研究出版社出版的《高级英语》是大学英语学习高级阶段教材,其收录的30篇文章均为非诗歌文体。对其内部语音特征的分析表明除了拟声、头韵、类韵、和声等显性表现外,其在非标准发音、语音-语义联想和非传统语音模式方面的隐性表现也很突出,因此,有必要培养高级英语学习者的语音鉴赏意识,以期提高他们的语言修养。

It is usually believed that the phonological skills can only have their full play in poetic texts ; however, its reflection in non-poetic texts also claims attention, especially those for advanced readers. Advanced English by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press falls into the category in that it is for the advanced learners and all the 30 articles in it are non-poetic. A phonological study of it shows that besides the traditional onomatopoeia, alliteration, assonance, consonance, it also stands out less recognizably in employment of non-standard pronunciations, sound-semantic association and unconventional sound patters. Therefore, it is necessary to cultivate phonological awareness in advanced learners in order to improve their appreciation of marvels in language.
