An Empirical Study on The Effects of Contexts on Vocabulary Acquisition

摘要 探讨了语境对词汇习得的效果。通过实证研究发现语境对词汇习得虽然有一定的效果,但并不很理想。从而认为在阅读过程中,除了利用语境猜词外,应多利用其他途径学习。 This paper makes an empirical research on the effect of contexts on vocabulary acquisition and it is suggested that in the process of learning vocabulary through reading,more approaches should be employed besides inferring from contexts.
