摘要
吴地"九四香"习俗的起源和流变体现了国家和社会的互动。吴地民众选择了全国性宗教节日"地藏香"与政治纪念节日"九四香"在时间点上的重合是民间社会生存技术的表现;后者在表述形式上与前者的刻意求异是民间社会的政治表意。应重新审视当下民众生活世界与现代博物馆场域中"九四香"的不同表述方式,以从"小传统"到"大传统"的地位转换中来分析国家和民间社会力量对比的动态过程。
This paper studies the "Jiusi incense" custom in the region of Wu, and analyzes the interaction between state and society through the development and change. People of Wu choose the 30th of July (of the lunar calendar) as the political commemoration festival "Jiusi incense", the same day as the nationwide religious festival "Dizang incense ", which is the embodiment of social survival tactics. The difference between the two rituals is in essence the political representation of society. The paper also examines the distinction of "Jiusii incense" in people's modem life and in modem museums, and demonstrates the dynamic process through which to analyze the contrast between state and social forces through the shift of position between "minor traditions" and "major traditions".
