在中国制陶历史发展的长河里,中国绘画同陶瓷装饰艺术的发展的相互作用,相互影响的状态一直存在着,几乎可以说,陶瓷装饰艺术一直是与中国绘画共同发展着的,中国的绘画在陶瓷装饰艺术发展过程中不断发挥着重要作用,而陶瓷装饰艺术的发展也在不断丰富着中国的绘画艺术,不论是在形式上还是在内容上,两者的贡献力都是不可言喻的。

In the history of Chinese ceramic making, Chinese painting has interacted with ceramic decoration. Therefore, it＇s virtually true that ceramic decoration develops along with Chinese painting. Chinese painting has been playing an increasingly important role in the development of ceramic decoration which in return has been enriching Chinese painting. Their contribution to one another in terms of form and content is quite obvious. In today＇s world, the major concerns are innovation and breakthrough. The furtherance of Chinese ceramic art requires the efforts to keep pace with the contemporary time and to be creative, but development and innovation can only be achieved by understanding the past and taking it as the onset. Therefore, it is necessary to trace the relations between contemporary ceramics and painting to their historical origins.
