The western marxism, as a kind of social thought,is introduced into China. Its contents involve polities, economy, culture and other aspects. Though constructing the harmonious society theory is not specifically mentioned, some thoughts and and insightful discourses relating to a harmonious society, such as the establishment of socialist humanitarianism. Further research and absorbing the essence of harmonious society in western marxism are of important significance for us to construct socialist harmonious society.
