On the Specific Approach to Political Development in China

从政治发展的历史和现实看,世界上并不存在一条普适的政治发展道路,每个国家有自己特殊性和内生性的政治发展道路,也有其具体的政治发展路径。在当代中国,实现我国的政治发展,除要坚持中国特色社会主义政治发展道路外,还要从扩大有序政治参与,加强民主政治的制度化、规范化、程序化建设,厉行法治,寻求树立权威和发展民主之间的平衡等方面着力推进。

There is no universal path to political development in the world in terms of its history and reality. Each country has their particularity and their own specific political developmental route. In contemporary China, its political development can be realized through adhering to socialist political development with Chinese characteristics, and through facilitating orderly political participation, strengthening the institution, standardization and proceduralization of the democratic politics, enforcing rule by law, seeking a balance between authority and democracy as well.
