汉末三国时期,军阀混战,社会经济遭受重大破坏。旧的经济地理格局被打破。曹操推行屯田制,刺激了水利工程的建设;同时,农田灌溉水利工程促进了曹魏经济的恢复和发展。蜀汉和孙吴也积极屯田,兴修水利,新的经济地理格局逐步形成。
