The Development of Adapting Marxism to Chinese Conditions and Its Historical Experiences in the Past Sixty Years

新中国60年是中国共产党不断推进马克思主义中国化并实现其重大飞跃的历史时期。认真研究和梳理60年来马克思主义中国化的历史进程,总结其历史经验,对于当前坚持和发展马克思主义,进一步推进马克思主义中国化、当代化具有重要的理论和现实意义。

The past sixty years was a period which the CPC pushed forward constantly the development of adapting Marxism to Chinese conditions and made a remarkable achievement. This period can be divided into three historical stages, that is, the first stage （1949--1956） when adapting Marxism to Chinese conditions had a good beginning under the new historic condition; the second stage （1956--1978） when adapting Marxism to Chinese conditions followed a tortuous road; the third stage （1978--） when adapting Marxism to Chinese conditions made a remarkable achievement. It has an importantly theoretical and realistic significance to study and sort out the historical process of adapting Marxism to Chinese conditions and to sum up its historical experiences for adhering to and developing Marxism and pushing forward further adapting Marxism to Chinese conditions.
