Design of Protocol Converter Based on BACnet and Modbus

为实现Modbus设备到BACnet/MSTP现场总线网络的集成,提出一种应用单片机技术实现BACnet/MSTP现场总线与Modbus总线协议转换方法。分析BACnet协议和Modbus协议的特点,从软硬件设计的角度,提出硬件设计方案,详细阐述界面配置软件和嵌入式协议转换器软件设计,通过对协议转换器软件设计进行优化,提高了转换器的效率。VTS测试结果表明,该模块符合BACnet标准设备规范。

For the inlegration of Modbus devices into BACnet/MSTP fieldbus network, a method, which applied a MCU for designing converter from BACnet/MSTP to Modbus, is introduced. According to the characteristic of BACnet and Modbus protocol, the design method of hardware and software are introduced in detail, including interface configuration software and embedded protocol converter software. By software optimisation design, the efficiency of converter is enhanced. VTS test results indicate that this module accorded with criteria of BACnet standardized equipment.
