摘要
运用西方语气研究中的"现实性非现实性"理论分析英语虚拟语气、英汉几种疑问及日常应酬的应答方式、汉语语气词的使用以及英汉民族思维方式差异,可以看出英汉语气系统宏观上的一大差异:英语语气的现实关照性与汉语语气的交际关照性。
The author applied the theory of 'realis' and 'irrealis' in the western study of modal system to analyze the English subjunctive mood,the ways of answering some kinds of English and Chinese interrogative,the expressions of daily intercourse,the usage of Chinese modal particles and the difference in thinking between Chinese and English people. Then,it came to the conclusion that there is a macroscopic difference between English and Chinese modal system:the realis-focus of English modal system and the communication-focus of Chinese modal system.
