剪纸自传入新疆以来,受到本土与外来文化等的影响,不断发生着变化,形成了独具的特色。随着市场经济的发展,文化的大繁荣、大发展,传统文化的保护与传承也被提到了一个新的高度。"新疆剪纸艺术委员会"的成立,"首届新疆剪纸艺术大赛"、"首届新疆剪纸艺术节"等活动的相继举办,显示出新疆剪纸艺术的发展活力,同时新疆剪纸艺术在发展中的问题逐渐浮现,新疆剪纸艺术的保护与传承问题逐渐引起重视。

As one of traditional artistic form of expression, paper-cut art has a long history. Since papercut art was introduced into Xinjiang, it has a great change and formed its own features of native soil that are influenced by regional sources of culture, customs and foreign cultures. With the development of marketoriented economy, great prosperous and development ol cultures have been raised to a new ano nlgn revel. Establishment of ＂Xinjiang Paper-cut Art Committee ＂ and conduction of ＂The First Xinjiang Paper-cut Artistic Competition ＂ and ＂The First Xinjiang Paper-cut Artistic Festival＂ have displayed the developing vigor of Xinjiang paper-cut art. Meanwhile, some problems Xinjiang paper-eut art has also appeared during the development, and the inheritanee and protection of Xinjiang paper-cut have gradually brought to people＇ s attention.
