In 1990s, the Korean Film emerged as trend, Kim Ki duk becomes famous all over the a suddenly-rising new force, taking the advantage of this world. Being different from the Korean genre film that is known very well by audience, he actively learns from the world,especially the Europe movies, discusses some universal propositions that tend to be the source significance of human spirit, using some western movies＇ skills like the visual color of film. Meanwhile, he is always based on the oriental culture and the unique feature of Korea, melts some oriental image and a kind of oriental mood and spirit into the western modern visual image, and shows the South Korean＇s mind and the national characteristics to all the audience, finally makes the Korean culture which his films supplement graduallv aDnroved in the world.
