随着交际教学法的兴起,英语语法教学在英语教学中的地位有所削弱,并曾一度在部分英语课堂教学中消失。经过一段时间的实践和反思,人们意识到了削弱甚至取消英语语法课的弊端,因而又重新思考语法在语言交际以及在英语课堂教学中的地位与作用。随着外语教学改革的不断深入,英语语法教学也要进行改革。首先要改变观念。观念是改革语法教学的前提,也是必须进行语法教学的前提。其次是改革语法教学的内容。还要改革语法教学过程。

With a new upsurge in communicational teaching, the position of grammar teaching is a little weaker in foreign language teaching and grammar teaching disappeared in foreign classes in a certain way. Foreign languages teachers come to realize the drawback that grammar teaching is weakened and even canceled in practice and thought, so they rethink the position and function of grammar teaching in language communication and foreign language classes. With going deep into reform of foreign teaching continually, English grammar teaching should be also reformed. Firstly, ideas should be changed, not only are they the essential prerequisites of reforming grammar teaching but also the prerequisites of carrying out grammar teaching. Secondly, contains should be reformed and lastly, process should be reformed.
