The present study investigates the effect of applying video teaching materials to specialized theoretical courses, based on a positive research on the teaching of ＂The Principles of Economics＂ for senior college students of English major. The study reveals that video teaching materials influence classroom teaching positively, and that they are helpful to students＇ memory, comprehension, and mastery of basic knowledge.
