译者主体性的限度——试论译者主体性与“忠实”之准则

On Translator's Subjectivity and "Faithfulness" Principle:Limits of Translator's Subjectivity

译者主体性一直是近年来翻译界的热点话题。在前人对译者主体性研究的基础上,笔者首先肯定了译者是翻译的主体,并讨论了译者主体性的内涵及其客观制约因素,提出"忠实"是翻译永恒的基本准则,译者主体性的发挥要在该准则范围之内,因此是有限的。译者主体性与"忠实"准则两者相互制约、相互依存,辩证统一于翻译活动之中。

The translator＇s subjectivity has been a hot topic in recent yearn. Based on previous researches on the translator＇s subjectivity, this paper holds that the translator should be the subject of any translating activities. After a discussion about the meanings of translator＇s subjectivity and the objectively restrictive factors, the paper has drawn a conclusion that the translator＇s subjectivity is limited because the basic principle of ＂faithfulness＂ should be perpetually followed by the translator in his translating, and that translator＇s subjectivity and ＂faithfulness＂ principle have an inherent connection of dialectical unity.
