从东西方文化差异看跨文化交际冲突的必然性

On the Inevitability of Conflict in Cross-cultural Communication between the East and the West

随着国际间在多领域的合作的加强,世界各国的团体和个人相互交往和交流日益频繁,跨文化交际已经成为了一种日常生活方式,但是东西方文化取向和价值观的差异往往使交际低效,交际主体之间经常产生误解甚至冲突。笔者首先对东西方价值观的几个方面进行了比较,进而展示价值观的差异会使人们的交际行为相差甚远,因而跨文化冲突在所难免。

With the development of science and technology, especially that of transportation and telecommunication, corporate and personal transaction and communication in many areas have become more frequent internationally, and cross - cul- tural communication has become a way of life. But the differences in cultural orientations and values have led to low efficiency in cross -cultural communication, sometimes resulting in misunderstandings and even conflicts between communicators. This essay compares the differences in values between the east and the west from several aspects, showing that the differences in values can lead to extremely diverse behaviors in cross -cultural communication and thus conflicts are inevitable.
