介绍了一种在深紫外波长下工作的特种光纤耦合器,它采用改良的三根光纤一次拉锥成型技术制造,利用旋转的光纤夹具和可移动的火炬获得的低损耗熔融锥区,通过选择不同数值孔径的输入和输出光纤降低熔接损耗。测试结果表明,该方法有助于提高产品的耦合效率,采用芯径为100μm的紫外光纤可以获得大于70%的耦合区传输效率,远高于其他3×1耦合器。
A special fiber optic coupler operating in UV wavelength is introduced, which is fabricated by using an improved forming technology that makes three fibers into a taper in one step. In the fabrication low loss fused hiconical taper area is obtained utilizing rotated fiber fixtures and scan-able torch, and the fusion joint loss is reduced by selecting input and output fibers with different NA. The measurements show that this method is helpful to increase the coupling efficiency, and a transmission efficiency of more than 70% in the coupling area can be achieved using a UV fiber with 100 μm diameter, which is far higher than that of other types of 3 × 1 couplers.
