由于新型经济犯罪是一种较为复杂的刑事犯罪,犯罪主体的特殊化、犯罪手段的专业化与智能化,使其在刑罚适用方面也呈现出与众不同之处。在慎用死刑、适当适用自由刑的同时,必须注重适用财产刑。只有在判处主刑的同时,判处相应的财产刑,才能有效地打击与遏制新型经济犯罪。
