The vibrating wire settlement gage is applied widely, but it has never been applied in China. This paper introduces the principle and data processing method of the vibrating wire settlement system, discusses the key issues and difficult problems that may appear during the installation of corresponding instruments, and proposes the countermeasures. The data from the vibrating wire settlement system is processed and analyzed, and some useful conclusions are drawn, which are helpful to similar projects in future.
