稀土金属是重要的战略资源,因其独特优异的性质而广泛应用于高精尖科技和军工领域。稀土又是我国的优势资源,其资源储量、生产量、消费量和出口量均占世界第一,稀土资源的开发和利用日益受到关注。介绍了我国稀土资源储量及分布状况,阐述了我国稀土矿产品生产和消费情况以及稀土在军事领域的应用,分析了我国稀土资源开发利用中存在的问题,提出了加强我国稀土产业战略安全的建议。

The rare earth metal, which is an important strategic resource, has been widely used in high-grade and sophisticated techniques and in the field of military industry because of its special and excellent performances. The rare earth is China＇ s superior resource, its reserve volume, production capacity, consumption volume and export volume of China are the number one in the world. So the development and utilization of rare earth resources have got great public attention more and more. This paper introduces the reserve volume and distribution of rare earth resources in China, expounds the production and consumption of rare earth products in China and the application of rare earth in the field of military industry, analyzes the problems existing in the development and utilization of rare earth resources in China, and puts forward some suggestions on strengthening the strategic securitv of China＇s rare, earth industry.
