The higher education in Korea has achieved great success in the process of popularization, in which the improved credit system played an important role. The credit hank system, as a new way of credit certification, has made great contribution to the promotion of the life-long education and the development of the learning society. The paper analyzes the development of the credit bank system of higher education in Korean as well as credit certification, degree conferring mode, and its characteristics.
